CRAIG DELUCA

Craig is the Co-founder of The Arno Group, LLC, a business consulting and M&A advisory firm focused on growth strategies, mergers & acquisitions, complex problem solving and organization development.

Craig was the Co-founder and CEO of Schoolsuccess.net, an online-learning company headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Schoolsuccess.net develops software for parents and teachers. Schoolsuccess.net was acquired in June 2001 by Pearson, PLC.

Prior to founding Schoolsuccess.net, Craig was President and CEO of Executive Perspectives (EP), a software company specializing in computer-based simulation models, serving Fortune 500 clients including Intrawest, GAP, Verizon, Microsoft, IBM, Ford, Xerox., Chase. EP was acquired in 1998 by Provant.

Before EP, Craig was a strategy consultant with Gemini Consulting, a premier strategy-consulting firm serving the largest global enterprises worldwide. At Gemini, Craig developed business and marketing strategies for a broad range of clients in telecommunications, manufacturing and technology.

Craig is also the Founder and Chair of The Global Challenge, Inc. (www.globalchallengeaward.net), an NSF-funded non-profit organization that gives high-school students around the world the tools and the confidence to solve global problems collaboratively. Students work in global teams using the internet to build skills in math, science and technology and apply those skills to solve complex problems like global warming.

Education
Craig earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Wharton.

Board and Community Work
Craig has served on many corporate and non-profit Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards including, Executive Perspectives, Inc., Technology Strategies, Inc., Intercon Systems, Inc., Intervision, Inc., SecureHealth, Inc., Global Classroom, Inc., Jumpstart for Young Children, Stowe Performing Arts, Flynn Center for The Performing Arts, and Greenworks Development, LLC.

Craig’s community service includes a stint as Stowe Planning Commission Chairman, The Economic Development Council of Northern Vermont, and State of Vermont Public Oversight Commission.

Personal
Craig, his wife Paige, daughter Emma and their dogs Pepe and Julia live in Stowe, and love to spend their time playing in the mountains, globe-trotting, working in the community, and entertaining family and friends.

Turn Your Computer Off at Night

The energy savings can really add up. In one year, if you shut your machine off at night, you’ll save an average of $90 worth of electricity.

Insulate Your Water Heater

Hot water accounts for 13% of a typical utility bill, so improving efficiency goes a long way. Consider wrapping your old heater in a layer of insulation. For the nominal cost of about $15, an insulating jacket can reduce heat lost through the walls of the tank by 25-40%.

Choosing a better bulb

Switching from incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) will cut your dependence on energy and save you about $25 to $60 per CFL. CFLs may be higher in cost, but each lasts ten to fifteen times longer than an incandescent that provides the same light, at a quarter to a third the cost per hour.
